Take this Zen in 10 to breathe the salt air in, and give yourself a restorative massage.
Release Neck Tension: Lean your head forward gently to place your chin on your chest, and allow it to drape for 30 seconds or so. Feel the gentle stretch in the back of your neck. Then, move your head in a slow, circular motion to the right, bending backwards gently to feel the front of your neck stretch. Hold this position (if it feels good) for 15 seconds. Roll your head towards your left shoulder and forward, gently placing your chin on your chest again. Do this slow gentle exercise for 5 repetitions.
Release Shoulder Tension: Sit up. Take your right hand and reach over the top of your left shoulder and massage the area with your hand and fingers in a rolling motion back and forth. Massage from the center of this area out towards the shoulder, and in towards the neck for 30 seconds to release tension. Feel for any discomfort and gently squeeze this area for 15 seconds or longer. Cup your hand and pat the area from your shoulder to your neck - back and forth - a few times. Then, do this entire massage technique with the opposite hand on the opposite shoulder and neck area.
