The key secret in Energy Arts is to allow, receive, and release energy. To keep an open channel for old energy to exit and new energy to enter. Simply stated, let go and go with the flow.
Energy is in constant motion and whorls about and changes quickly. The buds on the maple tree appear, the leaves open, and then they miraculously fall off the trees and let go without a care. Just as miraculous as the leaf's letting go, it will return as a leaf in Spring as the divine sequence of life continues to ebb and flow. Even after natural disasters such as tornadoes and hurricanes, Mother Nature's pent up energy is released and calm remains. And then, the birds sing in harmony once again.
Nature innately knows to react and rebalance its energy - to allow, receive, release again, and again, and again. Mastery of the Art of Surrender.
One of my favorite quotes is from Rose Kennedy, "Birds sing after a storm; why shouldn't people feel as free to delight in whatever sunlight remains to them?"
With decades of scandal and loss that surround the Kennedy family, I admire Rose for choosing freedom. Making the conscious choice to see daylight at the end of a dark tunnel. Mastering the Art of Surrender by releasing the energy of tragedy and sorrow that may have held her back from fully enjoying her life.
For years, I have paraphrased this to say, "If birds can sing after the rain, then so can I." It can also be your choice to mirror nature.
No outside forces are at play within you. If you are not feeling blissful in this moment, what are you holding onto that keeps you from this blissful thought? Allowing bottled up energy to remain in your body is always your choice, and so is letting it go.
Each of us can experience the freedom that comes from being unattached to any outcome, and delight in whatever sunlight remains. Awareness is bliss, and need not be painful.
Remember, positive vibrations and negative vibrations both produce a ripple effect! Be aware of your personal energy so you can contribute to loving energy in the Universe, and not muck it up with sticky icky energy of today's woes.
Release your energy with this mindful breathing exercise:
Breathe in. With every exhalation, silently repeat, “I surrender.” Surrender to the balanced energy in the space right before the inhale. There is a split second in that space - void of thought and emotion - only filled with whirling ions of energy and air.
From that emptiness comes your next free breath, and the energy of whatever intention you infuse it with.
When I breathe back in, I can inhale deeper and feel more peaceful.
Try this exercise, and see how it makes you feel!
